What is this, really

There's no Carfax in the Philippines. Cars get wrecked in floods or crashes, get patched up, and get resold with zero paper trail. This site is people pooling what they've seen: a car with this plate was spotted damaged, here's the photo, here's when. That's it. It's just neighbors talking, not an official record or a court verdict.

How it actually works

• Every report is someone saying "I saw this", not a ruling on the car's condition.
• Nothing shows up publicly the moment it's submitted. A moderator checks it first.
• We fingerprint every photo so the same picture can't get reposted as five different sightings.
• Plate numbers get cleaned up (spaces, dashes, capitalization) so ABC-1234 and abc 1234 match.
• We never ask for or show owner names, addresses, phone numbers, or engine/chassis numbers. Full stop.

Where this falls short

• No report on a plate doesn't mean the car's clean. It might just mean nobody's posted about it.
• We don't say "this car is damaged." We say "someone saw front-end damage in Cavite, March 2024." Big difference.
• A report is a snapshot from one moment. The car may have been fixed since.
• People misread plates sometimes. That's exactly why disputes exist.

Getting a report taken down

Every report has a dispute link, no login needed. Two common cases:

1. Wrong plate. Send us something that shows the real plate so we can compare.
2. Car's been fixed, or it's a privacy concern. A moderator reviews and can mark it resolved or pull it down.

About privacy

We didn't take these photos. They came from the "Nabangga na ba" Facebook group and page, posted by the people who saw the cars. We just collected them and made them searchable. We try to blur faces before anything goes live, and moderators can redact more by hand. We don't want, collect, or store anyone's personal details, just the car and what happened to it. Plates can be traced back to owners, so we treat this data carefully and give people a real way to ask for something to come down.

Where the data comes from

Most of the reports here were scraped, with the groups' knowledge, from two public Facebook groups where people post wrecked cars. This registry wouldn't exist without those communities; full credit to them. New sightings come in directly through this site's upload form too.

Full credit for the sightings goes to the "Nabangga na ba" admins and community. They've been posting wrecked cars there for years. They announced plans to build their own database twice, once in October 2024 and again in January 2025. Both times it went quiet and nothing ever came out. We built wasakph.com so the photos they've been collecting don't just scroll away in a feed. The data is theirs. We just made it searchable.
